TOP TIPS
FOR CHARITY SHOPS
- Put electrical appliances to one side when you are sorting.
- Check for any obvious defects. If it's dirty or has missing pieces you might not want to sell it anyway. This will reduce the number of "fails" you have.
- Permanent fixtures such as "wired-in" lights don't need to be tested as they should be installed by a professional electrician.
- Consider asking other shops in your chain to send sellable items to you, and transfer back if they don't sell in your store.
- Some items may be prohibited in your company guidelines such as electric blankets. (We also do not offer a microwave testing service.)
